When I started freelancing, I didn’t have a clue what I was getting into.
All I knew was that I had a laptop (which still works today, by the way) and newly connected Internet access (under my name) that has followed me through two address changes.
A friend of mine introduced me to oDesk (which eventually became UpWork), and I have also recommended it to many other people who have asked me about my job and how they could start freelancing, too.
I have also registered with BIR as a freelancer, learning and going through the steps all on my own.
